Was able to get a hunt in today before work and they were moving. Best morning of season yet. Saw 5-6 from stand and 5-6 walking out. It was one of those "good mornings". I Shot a doe feeding on white oaks around 8:30 and saw a good one walking back to get truck. No pics on doe bc i did not take one. Sorry. I was in a rush to get to work. I would hit the woods this afternoon if i could.

Saw several Saturday morning and them mid day Sunday. This cooler weather has them up and moving.
Deer are abnormally active this season. Been that way since opener. I've seen lots of deer and several good bucks every sit, and have only sat evenings. I keep moving my tree from hot tree to hot tree following the deer. Best season I've seen in a very, very long time. Maybe ever. It's 100% the best early season I've ever seen. If rut proportionally follows suit then we're in for an amazing deer season this year.

something happened yest eve and this morning... got 2 mature bucks on cell cams in daylight. That almost never happens in October on my farms.

Congratulations on the doe. I haven't sat a stand yet this season, but have walked up on a few between 8 and 9 while out walking the past week.
