This is my north central MO lease. We noticed lot of droppings in the old barn so we setup a camera. There been quite a few deer going through the barn. First time we've had them bed down in the barn.

Cool pic, i accidentally caught one in my barn a few years back. He nearly made me a new door. I had to get a good ways back for him to even think about leaving from where he entered. Thought he was going to kill himself.

Great pic! Very cool! We've had does walk up to back of our barn and step just inside big back door where we have a salt block for the horses.....when the horses are in that pasture the deer wont do it....but when we rotate the horses to the other pasture, the deer will slip in for some salt....never thought about putting a camera up....but I have watched from the house and seen them go in and out.

Years ago I was at Cades Cove and one spot we stopped had an old barn / building back off the road. I walked up there and there were several deer bedded in there. Shocked me at first.

Used to Be Too Young Bucks would often lay on the gravel under my neighbor's car port. They eventually got tired of me looking at them so they moved two houses down to a different carport used it on hot days for a little while. I know it's Shady and definitely cooler under a shed.

I was meaning archery, but yes I bet a gun would make a heck of an echo!

I doubt you could setup anywhere in that barn without the deer knowing you were in there. Your breath and scent would pool in there heavy I'd imagine and the deer wouldn't make it near the door before they hit that scent and boogied out.

But if they were still using it as a preferred bedding site in a few weeks during velvet hunt I'd would try to slip in and setup close to get a a shot at them as they were coming or going.
