Wow, that had to be an interesting story on how that happened. That is one tough beast for sure.
What is that? Can't be his entire shoulder? He seemed to be walking normal?

yeah that's the top of his shoulder blade protruding like that.
Car wreck would be my guess, knocked that joint out of whack.

Doesn't seem to bother him at all not even limping.
I had a doe like that on property I hunted. I got numerous pictures and videos of her. It looked so painful, I determined to shoot her if I saw her. While I continued to get numerous pics of her, I never saw her in person. Her shoulder did exactly like that buck. She showed no sign of a wound on that side.
