while hunting yesterday near Henrietta I saw three bucks and shot a 100 inch 8 point. My brother said id sleep in this morning so to prove him wrong I got up and went to a spot near zinc plant in a residential area. I saw six bucks total and I shot the biggest deer of my life dogging two does. While trailing blood I heard the distinct sound of a muzzleloader. This enraged me so I ran as fast as I could in fear that someone else just shot my deer of a lifetime. The blood stopped behind a house. no sign of my deer of a lifetime (huge ten)and no sign of the muzzleloader. feeling defeated right now. On the bright side the rut season is just starting and there are rubs scrapes and bucks everywhere.so good luck everyone!

ps how do I upload pics?? ill upload a pic of the one from yesterday.

Saturday my brother got a ten point. he said it was trailing a doe. I missed an eight point. I went this morning and saw five does and one small eight point. very disappointing for such a cold beautiful morning.

In Stewart County people are seeing chasing on some farms and others not, I watched 21 deer this evening 10 different bucks,
they never even looked at the does. Even had a doe come in work a scrape, rub the overhanging limb, pee in it, but no buck following... go figure

I saw a spike cruising. got my wind and left. another unknown deer in the thicket. got my wind and left. moved spots. saw one doe. currently rewashing all of my hunting clothes and hoping the wind stops swirling before the afternoon...

rattled in a spike. saw two does late on the opposite hillside. decided to give the rattling horns one more try right at last light. I hear something running my direction... two coyotes... well the cattle farmer was pleased. my place to hunt is safe

my 12 year old brother got his first deer with a muzzleloader. I saw several small bucks cruising and chasing this past week and weekend. all mature bucks are coming out 40 minutes after sunset here

well I sat this evening. saw a couple squirrels. climbed down when the tornado sirens started going off... back to work the next three days.

watched dogs running deer all morning. then at 0800 watched a decent eight running a doe. 45 minutes later this deer followed the same path trying to catch up.
