Looks like Miami, ND and ALABAMA will all make the cut

Wild. Well yall be crying about this for years. Now yall got this. Maybe JAMES MADISON will be that underdog team that wins the NC and proves anyone can win a Natty. LOL

I don't like the 5 conference champions getting in. I think BYU got screwed.

Time to go on a run! RTR!!! 🐘
At the end of the day, the whole reason we have this system was because you'd have a couple teams arguably good enough to be in the title game. Those few teams are the only ones who should be entitled to be in the playoffs. The rest of these are only here because of compromises between leagues to get agreement on the format. 80% of these teams haven't done enough to deserve a shot at the championship as a matter of right.

I like the matchup against Oklahoma and a chance to get some redemption. At one point in the 3rd quarter ALABAMA had made a comeback and had taken the lead in that game. Alot of people are NOT giving ALABAMA credit for that and are making a big deal that ALABAMA lost that game by 3 points. But we lost.

But if we win that game we are facing Indiana in the next bracket and as I said earlier I don't see anyway we make a deep run. It would be the same if Vandy was in this bracket or ND. You could make any argument. No one is going to get past this bracket. So what does it matter ????

That's what I disagree with. I don't think Tulane and JMU deserve to be there (I get they do in this system).
I disagree with automatically giving those G5 teams a spot.

They absolutely don't belong but if we're being honest no more than 4 or 5 teams deserve to be there, if that many.

Even more salt to the wound for this Vandy fan. The powers that be thinking Tulane and JMU are of the top 12 teams in the country. Letting people in because they are at the top of their conference even though they are playing high school games. I'm just about done with college football. It's just so screwed up now

Hunter Yurachek was just on ESPN explaining all of this. As to ALABAMA getting in with a 10-3 record he explained they did not take in any consideration it's post season play. That it took in its strength of schedule and he particularly mention the wins against Georgia Vandy and tn when making their decision.

So Two Lane is gonna let Summeral come back from Florida Gators and coach the Chamionship run. And Ole Miss is not letting Kiffin . What a world we live in.

He made that comment less than a minute after explaining that BYU was "demoted" due to how they played in their championship game.

Hunter makes no sense. If that is the case then why does a conference championship win matter but a loss gets a slide?

Agree 💯

I wished Vandy would've gotten in. I would think the gumps would get by Oklahoma, it's hard to beat a team twice in the same year. The whole thing will be interesting .

Exactly... in most years, only 4, 5, or 6 teams will have a legit argument who is the best...

I LOVE throwing a bone to the tiny conferences (BUT seeding them at the bottom... NOT giving them a 1st round bye like they did last year).

'So, there is a chance?' 😀

If you wanna earn a shot at the title, be undefeated or a 1 loss team. If you play in a real conference (now only the SEC and BIG 10), be a 2 loss team and cross your fingers.

Alabama was the real crux this year... how to justify letting a 3 loss team into the playoffs when so many other teams with 2 losses have better win records...

BUT, you CANNOT penalize the loser of the SEC Championship game. You can penalize the loser of all the other conference championship games (except for maybe Big 10), but NOT the SEC....

Alabama earned their spot in the SEC championship game. Sure, they were an embarrassment to the state of Alabama and the SEC yesterday, but they shouldn't be penalized when they earned 2nd place in the SEC. had they not screwed the pooch in week 1, there wouldnt even be a question of their deserving a spot.

All the other teams (Notre Dame, Texas, Vanderbilt, BYU)... next year only lose 1 game. Or if you are in the SEC, only lose 2 games and make it to SEC championship game.

Regular season matters.

I'm not sure how but there is one team that got in to the cfp that lost against a 5-7 team, barely won by the skin of their teeth against a 4-8 team, would've lost against another 5-7 team if not for a couple questionable calls at the very end. They also lost at home again and got absolutely beat in their conference championship game. Yea that's for sure who I've got going in to the playoff it's only fair. Makes sense

That FSU loss was arguably the worst of any team in the top 25.

All I got to say about this is every team bama may face is deciding how many blitz packages they can come up with, that Simpson kid better buckle his chin strap real tight going into this thing.
