Thanks everyone again. An additional twist to this story that I left out is that my dad shot a buck in 02 from this same part of the ranch that had the same 8 point frame and big forks on the G2s. The first time I saw my buck at 2.5, I sat there in the blind thinking that if he made it to maturity and stuck around on my ranch that I was going to take him so my dad and I would have matching bucks on the wall. Here are some pics of my dad's buck. It is incredible to me that the shape of the 8 point frame and forks are almost identical. My buck has to be his offspring.
