Bama will NEVER get back to where they were. When we're talking about a past of decades of dominating opponents, it's a tough ordeal to accept. BUT, it's the truth. Mediocrity is the new status for Bama thanks to the NIL.

I was a rabid Bama fan through the decades of domination but when Saban went with the team on the BLM march through Tuscaloosa, I was done. That was a horse-schitt move that should have never happened.

Deboer is right where he was last year. You never know which Alabama team is going to show up!!! Dude is like a roller coaster!

I don't believe that Deboer is gonna make 4 seasons. End of next season will be his last at Alabama. BUT, the reality is that the Alabama of old is NEVER coming back regardless of who the HC is. It's OVER! And who would want to come here and face the pressure and expectations that go with the job?

Hit the nail on the head.

Kalen deboer has had the past 9 months to rectify the failure from last season. 9 months to get one of the most talented rosters in college football ready to bring the bama dominance back to the field. Not only did they look unimpressive but they were dominated by a team that won 2 games last season. That is not a sign of a good coach, actually it is just the opposite. Going to be a rough ride for the tide.

His buyout is $80 million. There is no reason to try and get rid of him. He needs to start with a new D-coordinator and see if that makes a difference. When the defense can't stop the opposing offense then it totally changes the offensive game plan because they're having to dig out of a hole. Deboer is an offensive minded coach so he needs a solid DC to keep that side of things in check. I'm far from believing that Womack is the answer on the defensive side given what I've seen over the last 10 games. Too much talent there to be losing that many games.
