Thanks Robin, I posted it in the deer hunting forum too....

I just didn't have the heart too mention it's the same load that was in the pic of the flintlock with the cows knee in the rain .. that was loaded last Saturday.

It went off without any hesitation.
A clean gun usually performs well , as you know.

Interesting story. Glad to see a few around that appreciate the finer things in life. He probably would not have had a hang fire with a flintlock. Percussion guns require a lot more attention.
