I've been deer hunting since 1962, killed plenty of deer and have never put out a speck of bait of any kind in my live.
If you can't kill a deer without bait you're not much of a hunter.

FWIW, I have been legally baiting for over a year with my wild hog exemption. The deer prefer the Trace Mineral salt over the corn. The corn draws squirrels, coons, and crows more than anything. I definitely wouldn't pay to bait. I also rarely hunt my land knowing that there is bait out. The baiting is done by the USDA at the trap they erected.

Does anybody have proof that twra is sponsoring this bill? several members have pointed out that twra is making a money grab. I haven't seen their name connected with this in any fashion.

How would this permit give them access to your land ? That other law is in effect ....by giving the permit don't automatically give them permission to enter your property without landowner permission .

Just because someone doesnt agree with someone elses position on a topic doesnt mean they are "complaining"...and there is nothing wrong with speaking up in opposition agaisnt agaisnt a topic that you feel isnt the best choice for all wildlife.

But...it appears its going to pass even though it makes no biological sense to concentrate deer and feed them like cattle. Makes no sense to feed coons and prop up nest raider populations. Makes absolutely no sense to risk aflatoxin poisioning to turkey poults and song birds....but hey, Ill stop "complaining" and go on.

My job is to understand herd composition and health dynamics and to teach that information to landowners. If I thought feeding corn had value for wildlife, I would tell landowners to use it. I do not because it does not.
