Anybody here fish the clinch?

So there are trout in there? Never knew. Maybe that's why they put that slot limit in. Nothing from 12-over can be kept, with only one 20" or over can be kept. It seems IMO to be working.

I fish it quite often. if you ever see a maroon dodge ram parked above the weir, come say howdy. And you are all right. THERE AREN'T ANY TROUT OR ROCKFISH OR WALLEYE (when they are generating hard)IN THAT RIVER. So don't waste your time.

How far below Peach Orchard do you have to go to get into the rocks? I'm not familiar with hinds creek.

I can honestly say I've never seen a walleye come out of the Clinch, not doubting you, I just haven't seen any..

I love to fish the Clinch, but there are no trout. The rocks are all the way up to the weir dam.

id say you could start catch rockfish less than a mile below the weir dam,like anything else water levels might hold them down river in the deeper waters when theres not much generating going on,a person might hook up on a big trout fishing for them so all in all lots of fun,mike243

Good thing those Rockfish ONLY eat shad(TWRA), yeah, sure.
