Pretty sure I am set on the Remington R15.

Now just for kicks and giggles do I get the 204 Ruger or the .223?

It is being purchased for varmits / coyotes / goofing off.
Probably 99.9% of the time it will be carried while coyote hunting.
I have more deer rifles than I can shoot, no need in it pulling double duty.

Never owned either but have shot the .223 before.

.204 is faster but more affected by wind drift, and a .223 can be affected pretty bad on a real windy day. JMO .223

dont know the price of ammo on a .204 but .223 is dirt cheap

if you dont have a call i have a johnny stewart and we can go anytime you want. my place or yours it dont matter, im ready to get on some yotes

Sounds good rem.

I use mouth calls.
Got a "few" of them around somewhere. ;)

We will hook up after deer season.
Just picked up a couple more farms this year.

Getting permission for that is alot easier than deer. :D

Wow, after reading other forums around the net I was pretty much set on the 204.

I trust ya'll more than them. ;)

Probably go with Tiny on it.... if I ever get a 204 that is now.

Thanks.

I have the r-15 in 223 with the 22" bbl. Taking out this weekend for a final deer hunt. You won't be disappointed. Never shot the .204, but i agree with most here in that you have many many choices in ammo for the .223
