Anyone else have that one buck that just shows up on every camera on a particular property? I've had three encounters with this guy in person. I REALLY hope he lives and gives me several years of history. My last "that one buck" was my ten point. I never had personal sightings, but he showed up on almost every camera over the last three years. This new guy is a little dumber as he seemingly walks around all day every day.

I have two videos of him walking right up to me sitting on the ground. He got about 10 yards away once! He has an injury causing a limp. It has gotten better over time though. Last time I saw him he seemed to barely be bothered by it.





 
Gotten this guy on nearly every camera, and he's photographed on at least one camera almost every day. Or I should say every night. He is totally nocturnal. I got just one set of pictures of him in the grey light before sunrise, right around peak breeding in mid-November.

 
MC...I'm surprised as much as that buck is traveling and on camera during shooting hours someone hasn't busted him yet. I don't know how to judge a deer that age on potential. That young and that size it's sometimes just wishful thinking that they'll keep growing...and sometimes they do.

I'm amazed as well. My buddy actually saw him an hour before my first encounter with him. I had just climbed down my stand and here he came limping my way. I was over .5 mile from my buddy!

I don't see high potential in the deer antler wise. I would assume his bad side is from whatever injury he has. His good side/frame style reminds me of a deer we called "the warrior buck" which is the only name we made for any deer that ever stuck. He has unique characteristics like you mentioned in your thread so I really hope to be able to watch him grow old as I can identify him.
