Yesterday afternoon I took my youngest son fishing on Priest and I told him we were going to try something new. Crankbait trolling Big J style. 12 foot diving crankbaits (Strike King XD), 14 foot of water, 1.5-2.0 mph. We only caught one crappie but it was a good one at 12.5 inches. However we did catch a ton of fish and you never knew what it was going to be. We caught lots of everything from white bass and yellow stripe to largemouth bass and drum. The action was pretty much nonstop and we did manage to fill the cooler with a variety of fish. My son said it was his favorite fishing trip ever and can't wait to do it again. Thanks Big J!

I grew up trolling the the lakes in Montana and Idaho...miss it. Now Im gonna have to go out and buy a sea anchor to slow down the boat.

I been taking kids out the last month. It is fun fishing and it is none stop. So glad I shared it and got a kid hooked. It truly warms my heart. So happy for you guys! We hung a 16 inch small mouth the other day. So excited for you man! It feels good when you can put your kids on fish! Makes ya look like you know what your doing! Lolol
