as long as it doesnt go above .2% or 2000ppm we are good. plants thrive with larger amounts of CO2. thats how we got all that coal in the ground because of high CO2 concentrations from volcanic activity. giant ferns grew to enormous sizes.

I need to understand how the readings from 1700 can be compared to present. What exactly is the source for these comparisons

What did we do to get 1700 and what did we do to get 2000. Where were the readings taken? I want to see the readings from The Dyersburg area around 1700.

Or better yet, Los Angeles basin in 1730. Fire smoke from Indian tribes created smog going back as long as so called historians can confirm

CO2 vs smog are 2 different things. my guess is that in the 1700's there were more trees to take in more CO2. with progress in any civilations, trees will be cut and so there will be less CO2 being used by trees, thus the increase.

the only way that we would be in trouble is for every tree on the planet, or a high percentage, to be cut down. trees are CO2 filters.

im more concerned with the toxic chemicals that some of these landfills just let spill out on the ground and pollute the drinking water than i am with CO2 emissions.
