I'd say this class will definitely finish in the top 8 when it's said and done. Bama will eventually sign a bunch of 5 stars. Georgia and Florida will make a good run and sign a lot of good players. It will definitely be interesting to see how it unfolds in the SEC.
 
The thing is if we have a bad season we probably lose half of these kids.

Recruiting rankings mean nothing. (Just like winning division championships)
Example: vandy vs vols the last five years.
 
I disagree. It does matter. Look at bama for example. Almost every year they have the top rated class. They consistently win the SEC and compete for the national title every year. But you're telling me that recruiting ranking doesn't matter.

U know that was sarcasm to a degree. The vols have had some unreal talent going by recruiting rankings and haven't done much. Georgia always has great recruiting rankings and....you get the picture.
If butch jones coached all sabans recruits, Bama wouldn't be what they are.
 
I like the fact UT has 7 of the top 10 best recruits outta the state of Tennessee already committed. something they was not able to do last year only getting 3 of the top 10 from the state.
 
As I have said earlier, 1 coach cannot coach 120 kids. The main job of head coach is to hire the best assistants, I hope by Butch cleaning house makes a difference

I agree with you to a certain extent. Some kids just don't pan out for some reason or don't have the drive that they should have.
 
Well lets see what they can produce with them. That seems to be Tennessee Problem. Producing. Not recruiting.

You made my point.... :) I was pointing out that it's a little to early to be pumped by a top 5 class this time a yr. UF just moved 51 spots in 7 days..... :super:
