If I had to pick, I'd rather have the cold weather when we did (mostly during the rut/early season) than now.
In the last few years, it seems like we always had warm weather mostly through November. By the time it got cold, deer season was already running for a month and the pressured deer were gone/nocturnal and harder to kill.
I can't believe how many times this year I've actually considered evening hunts because it was cold enough, which I almost NEVER go on in November due to warm temps.
So all that said, we know (especially livin in SW TN) that the temps will swing high for a while. I guess I'm just happy for what I got.
