Yeah, you read that right.

Has anyone found any Megalodon teeth around the rivers around here? I know they're out there but I've never gone looking. Some of them are huge.

Found them in SW Alabama but not in TN. The southern half of Alabama, Mississippi and other Gulf Coast states was under the ocean 45 million years ago. Used to find a lot of those thick Sand Dollar looking things in areas with limestone down there too. Some paelentologists found a whole Eocene Whale near the Tombigbee River about 20 miles from my parents' house.

Good info there, Stovepipe. I haven't really done the research on it yet. I just heard they could be found around "Southern rivers" and then I got curious. I'm going to have to have one eventually. I've been looking on Ebay for a decently priced one. There's just something about having a tooth that came from a predator that would dwarf a Great White that seems kind of exciting.

These sharks would make Jaws look like a bluegill.
