I bought one a couple of years ago for my young boys to hunt with. My oldest grew up so fast he never really used it. My youngest(9 yo now) used it last year to kill his first deer. I have a .223 barrel only. He made a bam flop kill on a button buck at about 40 yards with a handloaded round using a Win 64g power point bullet. Ours is a carbine with rifle stock and 21" barrel and I am not concerned with the rifle/pistol designation.
They are quality little carbines and of course have the option of easy barrel/caliber changes. They are kind of heavy for their small size as the barrel is a fairly heavy contour. Also they are sort of pricy for what they are imo. However I have been very pleased with ours and will probably get a 6.8 spc or 7-30 Waters barrel for ours eventually. Plateau Hunter
