The trigger pull on my encore is the only thing I don't like about it. Not getting much interest on selling my 280 barrel so I would like to get the trigger adjusted. Does anyone know where this could be done? Thanks.
 
Ive never done it but im assuming. I read a little about it and seems as though you can polish a little and change springs but be very very careful. They talked as though it can cause accidental discharge.
 
I had a local gun smith polish my encore and love the trigger on it now. Don't no where you are located but if you are on the east side i could give you his name
 
Buy the spring in the link mentioned above and go ahead and buy the 51 hammer spring. You won't be sorry. Easy to install and breaks light like glass. I have them in all three of mine.
 
I have done 5 trigger jobs on my Encores, I have screwed up one and it cost to get the sear replace and job done. I'd recommend farming it out. I wish I could find the information to whom I sent it to, but I cannot. I have some that will pull just over the 1 Lb mark but would not recommend it. As suggested replace spring without doing any polishing but if you feel luck go for it.

Also if you have never taken down the action of an Encore, putting the spring back in is the challenge. The first one I did, I swear it took over an hour to put it back in. Recommend tying something to spring so if it does pop out you can find it or order 10 of them just in case.
 
David white is another go to guy. If I remember Mike recommends him. He worked on my first ML barrel for my Encore and was very pleased. Call him and see if he can help or recommend someone.

Its not bad to do. I do all mine without the pliars. Just take your time and their are plenty of vids if you haven't ever had one apart.
