Lovie knows more about football than all of us and he said they got the guy. We just have to wait for him to come into his own. Year three they will be in the super bowl.

Lovie couldn't possibly know more about football than Mudbone and redblood. :rotf: If Smith doesn't build an offensive line he won't be here for year 3. :tu:

Good Luck building a good Oline in a year or two :tu:

Titans have been working on there's for years, and just Now got an Advantage one.

Chance warmack RG pick #10 ,2013.
Taylor lewan,LT,pick #11, 2104.

That's not counting all the 2ed, 3ed,4th round draft picks, and free agents brought in to try to find a soild Oline for jake locker before they finally broke down, and spent back to back high first rounders on the oline.

I knew before the season started bucs, and Winston would struggle standing behind that weak Line that's starting Two rookies. But you was having None of that, you just wanted to talk about the titans oline that everyone knew would be much much improved :tu:

Bucs do have Really good weapons for Winston.
Mike evans
Vincent Jackson
Doug martin

Mariota would be drooling if he had Two receivers like Jackson and evans.

LOL-he would be drooling just like Winston after getting hit every play. Winston moves the ball ,so far, when they go to the no huddle instead of I formation. When sitting back in the pocket he gets killed. To many look out blocks.

I was saying if he had weapons like that on his titans team this year.

Your right bucs oline sucks I said that 2 weeks before the preseason. You better hope the Bucs are willing to spend some High draft picks on that Oline first round picks.Drafting a 4th and 5th round rookies, and starting them on the oline ends badly more often then good.

well perhaps you can agree with this... since mariota is quicker and more elusive and less "statuesque" he doesn't require a great O..line since we can leave the pocket. he can also get the ball out faster. it takes decades for winston to get the ball out.

i agree. the titans receivers and tight ends played great, but they are not the most talented corp. but perhaps they fit the titans passing game well. The Bucs are loaded at receiver and that big tight end looked great.

I think Evans could have played if Smith would have let him. Think you will get a better read on your team this week vs the Browns, even tho you see the same defense in practice.

Besides kendall wright, Titans don't have much at receiver.Hunter has not lived up to the Hype his first two years, and has been disappointing, A rookie who has caught 1 pass in the NFL. And a old vet that's it.

I'm hopeing since the Oline is better, And we got are QB. the titans can start grabbing some top receivers, And HBs to help mariota in the draft/free agents

i did find one flaw in his (mariota) statistically perfect game. in the busted play where sankey reversed his field and mariota went to block for him, mariota ran up field too fast. sankey said he would have to get faster to follow mariota's blocks. also said it was embarrassing that his qb was faster than he was.

Yeah I remember that paly :tu:

Sankey has looked A lot better since preseason week 1, Cobb looked good as well before getting hurt. They went out an grabbed a HB from the browns (terrance West) he was a the leading rusher for the browns last season(676 yards, 4 Tds) was drafted in the 3ed round in 2014, so his only been in the league 1 full season. The Titans got him for a 7th round pick!

The Titans said they liked him in the 2014 draft, But went ahead and took Sankey in round 2.

If mariota, And the titans can get teams to respect the run game which has not beeen done since the CJ2k early years. Then it will open up the field nicely for the passing game.

Sankey should thrive with Mariota at the helm. Gives defenses something else to worry about in the read option

Gee redblood ,I've been missing your updates. So how is Mariota doing. Watching the Dolphins today and Marcus seems to be a turnover machine, only 4 today. Wow his turnovers should be on par with Winstons. Winston just named rookie of the week for the second time. I did notice Mariota winning rookie of the month.Well he does have the 1 win ,and that is good. Need to post more redblood. I don't get to follow NFL as much as I would like. I think Bucs are 2-3 and the Titans will be 1-4. Maybe they both can get the first 2 picks again. :tu:

it was a rough day for mariota, after a tough week last week. no doubt, honeymoon is over. we will see how he rebounds. he wasn't right after th cheap shot in the 1st quarter.

I don't think it's just Marcus. The receivers could be better

he is the only weapon they have, and he is a rookie...and now an injured rookie. with mediocre receivers and terrible running backs...gonna be a long year. he will be great, if he survives

Winston seems to be growing into his role:No other player has won the Rookie of the Week award twice this season; Winston was named the winner in Week 2 after leading Tampa Bay past New Orleans. The Bucs have claimed the Rookie of the Week award three times in five weeks, with Winston winning twice and linebacker Kwon Alexander winning in Week 3.

A friend went to the Bucs Falcons game last weekend with the father of a Bucs player. They were able to get into the family area before the game and he talked to Winston and Winston posed with my buddy's kid for a picture. Said he was just a great guy, very talkative and was happy to take the picture. JW said some encouraging things to his kid who recently quit playing football and of course then went out and beat the Falcons. My buddy is a former Georgia resident, lifelong Falcons and Bulldogs fan and has always given me crap about Winston's shenanigans while at FSU. He says he's a fan and will be watching him play every chance he gets going forward. People are finding out what we have known for a while. Feels good.

no doubt that the bucs are doing better than the titans, but we knew they were a better team. Mariota being out for 2.5 games and may miss another, in addition to losing his coach and mentor has to be tough. Especially when it was revealed that the main reason that whiz was fired was due to not protecting him and allowing him to come back in the game crippled due to a dirty hit (something mariota pleaded for). of course even missing two plus game, mariota still has a higher qb rating, completion percentage and less ints while averaging more yards per game. I will admit that winstons situation is better. good running game and 2 great receivers and a decent o line. my biggest fear with mariota is they make him do too much. he has the 3rd highest percentage of total yards for his team in the league. That is away too much for a qb that has started 5 games. There is also a fear that they may keep him on the bench and just let whitehurst and mettenberger guarantee them the 1st pick next year. However, in such a terrible division they are only 1.5 games out. But mariota is now the franchise and they must put him back on the field, healthy or not IMO. a herd of no name rb's, patchwork oline, and the worst receiving corps in the league...its not going to be easy. but he has shown his potential is limitless and hopefully this new coach take the gloves off and call some decent plays. or we could just go ahead and get Chip Kelly and renew the greatest show on turf

on a side note...we knew winston was a good talker and always nice when the cameras are rollin....well except security cameras.
