He came in when I was in the blind two days ago, and I didn't see him quick enough… Went back yesterday mid day, hung a climber, and dosed the whole area with BuckMaxx doe estrus and Brain Tame. About 3:15, I saw the tines coming through the thicket headed toward the drag rag I had left hanging in a bush. He made a few more steps and it was over…. His nose did him in! I believe the rut on this place is just starting. Got pics of chasing this morning…

After fighting Covid for two weeks and missing all of the muzzleloader season, I was sure happy to get back into the woods. Throat lozenges saved this hunt. I am still coughing, and probably should not have been out there... But you know how is feels to sit at home and know you are missing everything! I turned 74 a few days ago... Truly blessed to be able to still go! I want to thank my 67 year old hunting buddy, who helped me drag this one out after my cart broke... It took us three hours to get him down to the vehicle....
