looks like I will be taking the 338 Lapua to Cave City this Saturday to try and ring a 16 inch gong at 1600 yards,

over/under is 5 shots,,

60 MOA up and who knows in the wind,,.800 BC at 2775 fps,,

studying some wind charts,,at 1600 yards it calls for 1 MOA per mph,,10 mph wind would be 10 MOA which is 160 inches,,almost 14 feet in the wind 60 MOA high..

I may need to take a calculator,,
 
Don't forget that the wind will probably be moving from different directions and speeds from the muzzle to the target.
 
I am gonna go straight to the 1600 yard target,,get me a good spotter,,zone in on the coditions and let it rip,,I cant believe if my spotter gives me good info that it will take over 4-6 shots,,and If I can get a calm before the mirage sets in it may be possible on the first shot,,I am pretty sure of the dope I have to go by,
