Take deep breaths and relax..... Fishing is supposed to be fun.

That's what I was repeating to myself before I even backed out of the garage. I was headed to the Park to do some fishing today and I knew what traffic was going to be like with all the "leaf peepers" out in full swing. Well, I made it there and back with a minimal bump in my blood pressure.

Peace...

I even got a few fish to cooperate.

My monster brown for the day. I'm starting to think I burnt up all my luck at catching big browns this year back in February.

As you can see, the fly of the day was a size 16 pheasant tail.

Gobble gobble (this is not a pheasant)

There was a point in time, where I wouldn't have wanted to be sitting on this bench.

Great pics. Looks like a perfect day to me.
It was. I even started the day with a whole lot of stuff a shouldn't be eating. Although, that is wheat toast.

As soon as deer season is over, we'll have to hit the Clinch again.

The fish may be bigger on my end of the state, but I hardly think that makes up for the decline in landscape beauty.

I can hardly wait to catch a stocked rainbow trout from a nasty, goose-crap-infested city park pond in the middle of December so that I can have a similar experience to yours...
