You can use a centerfire weapon during the deer season only if you are a legal big game hunter. If you can still kill a doe through tomorrow, you can coyote hunt (with blaze orange) with a centerfire through tomorrow. After that season closes, you will have to use a shotgun with size T or smaller or a rimfire through Jan. 4. Jan. 5-9 you can go back to a centerfire, and then it is closed for centerfires for ALL adult hunters the weekend of of the Young Sportsman hunt, Jan. 10-11.
Starting Jan. 12, centerfires are legal for hunting coyotes until the 2015 archery deer season opens.
