It's just a suppressor cover from SilencerCo. Leave it on for protection from elements while hunting. When shooting several times it takes care of the mirage effect from the heat

Yes. It still has the supersonic crack but not the boom. One good video I saw they were comparing a suppressed high power to a clap and the clap was louder
