I had a Nikon Monarch red dot on mine and it worked really good, they run about $229-$249. Best red dot I have ever used, the holographic sights seem to be popular, but I have never owned one so it's hard for me to say about them!

Can you imagine being in a war and getting shot with those rounds? Freaks me out just thinking about it.
 
I would love to have an acog. But I couldnt justify the price so i went with the aimpoint. Just make sure you don't get a cheap knockoff whatever you get.

lots of worse things to be shot with, like.... a mini-gun outa a blackhawk, 50 machine gun. i saw some bradley's take out 52 t-72's and 150 republican guard in about 15 minutes. now that was messy, just glad i was on the winning side.

get a trijicon rco.
 
No doubt Trijicon is a fantastic scope in every way.

But is it not much different than other " traditional" scopes?
I saw a TV program where they were training military people to shoot with it,and it looked complicated to learn. Trijicon people were doing the training,and it appeared to be different than a retical most of us shoot with. Some guys were not understanding right away how to use it.

I have never seen one myself,and thought about buying one,but helf off after seeing this on TV.
If anyone can clear this up, it would be helpful.
I may be way off on what I thought I saw them doing with it.

It's got a stamp wouldn't have it any other way. got a 9mm upper to go with it too :)
 
Knight and ARMS are two manufacturers that make carry handle mounts, I'm sure there are plenty more. Check over at Arfcom to get some more.

I prefer the flat tops so I can put optics on it. You can also get a detachable carry handle to go on it if you later decide you want a carry handle. You can add optics on top of the carry handle but I have never liked the idea of that. There is nothing wrong with just using iron sights though.

the deal on this gun was too good to turn down. it has a fixed handle. in the case of iron sights, i need to replace the front sight as i can't see it in low light. any suggestions in that direction?
 
Trijicon ACOG's can be mounted inside the top of your carry handle very easily without purchasing an additional mount as they use a threaded screw and washer. Trijicon also makes a front sight post and rear aperature with tritium inserts designed for 'low-light' usage.
