We will be gone 16 days (hunt 10) on a DIY float trip in the Alaska Range. Started planning this trip more than a year ago, now we have flights booked and it's time to scramble and finish up preperations.

I can't wait to come back and share the stories. Anybody out there done this before?

Gun... actually got me a custom 300WSM based off a Remington Alaskan Titanium. Now my hunting buddy is going long bow and 454 Casull for the bears.

Well it's getting close now... Gear was shipped last week and all hotel reservations are made for our days before and after. GoIng thru final check lists and trying to drop the last 10 pounds.

27 wake ups before we board out plane for AK.
 
Chris and Rich.... I've already bought everything I need to go back so I am game (just don't tell the misses) ;) .

If all goes according to plan we will definitely be going back and we've already discussed increasing our group size next go round. I'll take good notes.
 
Well the day has come. Two years of planning have been reduced to a good nights sleep. I can't wait to step off that plane tomorrow in Anchorage.
