Does anyone have a good reccommended load for the t/c omega? I would like to comfortably be able to shoot at a deer at 200yards.

250g Shockwaves and 110g Blackhorn would be a good starting point. Barnes Spit fire or dead centers are good long range bullets as well. My favorite load for long range is a .40 200g XTP over 100g 777 2f. Bottom line is to take several to the range and see what shoots the best.

Good luck

Last year I shot 120gr 777 with 290gr Knight EZ Load Ultimate Slam Series Polymer Tip Saboted Bullets,a.k.a. Barnes TMZ. These were hard to load in my Omega, so I ordered some different sabots from mmpsabots, which were easier to load, yet fitted snugly in the barrel. I was very impressed with the accuracy and performance of this combination. If you're interested in the mmpsabots, pm me and I'll give you the size I ordered. They're $10.75 per bag of 50, delivered.

Covered on that other thread but I'll say again - 2 Pyrodex pellets totaling 100gr of powder with that new Hornady 300gr sabot/bullet gave me awesome results on paper. I can hit what Im aiming at for sure. I'll know more about pass-thru's and stopping power in a couple of months. This combo looks lethal and Im loving the Z5 Omega thanks again to Poorboy!
