Thinking about getting my son a T/C Impact SB. Does anyone have any experience with this particular muzzleloader? I have a T/C Triumph and it's a great shooter.
Thanks

I have one I have been using for a couple seasons. Great rifle so far. It's easy to clean, accurate as they come even with iron sights and the thick rubber butt pad really absorbs the kick. Speaking of the kick, it doesn't seem to have much with 90 grains of BH 209 and a 250 grain T/C bullet. I am mounting a scope on this year and from what I read it should be a nice reach out and touch it rifle. They go on sale at academy and other such places for around $175...sometimes cheaper depending on timing. Heck of a rifle!

A good friend of mine had one for a season. His only real complaint was the trigger. Could have been that particular rifle because I've seen others post pretty good reports about the Impact. He shot it reasonably well but ended up giving it to his adult son and then purchased a CVA wolf. Haven't heard him complain since.
