T/C Black Diamond MZ shooters

Anyone shooting this gun have any luck getting Hornady FPB 350 grain bullets to group well? If so, what powder charge are you using?

Never tried them. Mine shoots 250 barnes expanders great with 110gr of 777.

I don't shoot them out of a TC but my CVA shoots them dang good. 1inch to 1.5in groups all day long at 100yds. useing 2 50gr triple 7 pellets.

I have a 45 cal Black Diamond that I have never shot.
Bought some Blackhorn to use in it but they don't recommend using it in M/L's with out an enclosed cap.

Paul, my 50 cal Black Diamond is very picky about the bullet I shoot in it. The best load I have found for accurcy is the 300 gr T/C shockwave with 90 grains of 777 powder. I have read and talked to other hunters who really like the performance of the Hornady FPB bullet on deer. I just can't get these bullets to group worth a hoot from my Black Diamond. I will keep trying since I still have some FPB bullets left.

I have shot blackhorn in my gun 1 time. It worked fine. But decided not to do it again.

Paul, I am sorry that I never got to stop in and meet you when I was hunting Natchez Trace. The fellows that hunted with me stopped going and I have not found anyone else to drive out there with me to hunt.

It worked perfectly, no blowback nothing. I was just afraid that it might damage my breech plug since it has a spring around it and did not completely cover the primer.

I have the Black Diamond X/R .50 and it likes 2 777 50gr pellets and the 240 aerotip Powerbelt bullets. I've been shooting that combo for the last 6 years and don't see any reason to change. My groups are around 1" and that's shooting free hand w/o a bench, and I'm not a very good shot. :)

Many find it difficult to get a consistant 1" 5 shot group off a bench with bags at 100 yards.

Food Plot 101, I am glad the powerbelts work for you; as they do not shoot worth a crap out of my Black Diamond. A friend has the same rifle and his MZ shoots powerbelts well. :crazy:

I have used the 350 fpb I my black diamond and they do not group well at all no matter what charge of powder you use. They were so bad I gave my fpb away.

I shoot 2 50 gr. 777 pellets and 200 grain shockwaves in my Black Diamond. It's being relegated to back up status, bought a barrel for my Pro Hunter.

I shoot the 300 gr barnes expanders in mine with 110 grains of powder in my black diamond. It's as accurate as my centerfire rifles at 100 yards. I can't imagine shooting anything else
