Bought some T/C 240 gr. xtp bullets because they were in a value pack. they are shooting well out of my Optima, but i was wondering how they performed on the deer.
answered my own question got a big fat doe about 90 yds. this morning from my back porch. she didnt run maybe 50 yds. T/C 240 gr. XTP bullet with 100 gr. 777 in and out heart shot.
i have been shooting the 240 gr. xtp's for about 10 years.only had 1 instance where i had a problem but i believe it was more shot placement than bullet performance.
yes it left a nice exit hole a whole lot better than the powerbelts i was using last year. and there was plenty of blood a tracking job would of been short work.
