I really hate sycamores. Is there anything that will kill sycamore saplings but not clover? It's not a big area, less than an acre. Mowed it 4 times and the sycamores keep coming back. Would you just spray it with crossbow and kill everything and replant, keep mowing it, or is there a selective herbicide that won't kill the clover but will stop the trees.

If you have Rural King nearby get some Tordon RTU and put it in a spray bottle. Anything with stem thinner than your pinky finger will die just by spraying the sycamore leaves. Thicker stem stuff you can spray the stem itself. It doesn't take a lot so one bottle goes a long way. And it's got dye already mixed in so you easily see what you've already treated. Wear rubber gloves.

You should have no trouble killing all the sycamores in an hour or two without harming your clover. They'll be dead or visibly dying within a week.

All the Tordon I've used had to be with diesel

Ended up just going back and spraying the entire spot with gly and 2 4d to burn it down. There were just too many sycamores and even some poplars. I will seed it with clover ahead of the next rain.

May be a while 🤣.

We picked up all our seed for 25 acres on Friday. With no plan on planting anytime soon 🤣🤷‍♂️

Forecast I looked at the other day had chances on Thursday and Friday, looking now it has been pushed back to Tuesday and Thursday the following week(first week of Sept). I just need to decide if I am going to scratch the ground a little before broadcasting.
 
The models have been incredibly frustrating this late summer. Every rain event they forecast piddles out to nothing as the days grow closer. And the decent rains are always forecast for the next event. And then that piddles away to being the next event after that. What had looked like a solid chance of rain Wed-Fri is now looking weak. And what had been a very wet forecast for the first week of September is now drying up. We have had 0.18" of rain since July 24 and I'm wondering if we will end the month of August with anything more than a quarter inch total for the month. Disastrous. I'm afraid we're going to have another 2022 season - drought, no food plots, no acorns. 2022 was the worst year we've had in 30 years.
