just picked up a Winchester sxp long beard 20 gauge. 24" barrel. comes with a factory xtra full .603 according to Winchester . any recommendations on choke tube? .603 seems a little open to me

What do you plan on shooting out of it? I run 568 in my 20 tristar and 301 20
Depends on what ammo you are planning to shoot. Match the ammo to the choke
as stated before 20 gauge are easier to get opinions on because the bore diameter is pretty standard across all brands vs how it is with 12 gauges. There are some that are different but majority are not.
TSS - 555 if you want a hot core. 562 or 570 with a bit more open pattern.

Gonna try the long beards first.
Probably do the tss at some point.
Might want to try a couple of different chokes and constrictions with whatever load youre going to use. Currently shooting a Carlson's .575 turkey choke with 3" Federal Premium Grand Slam, #5 shot out of a Mossberg 20 gauge. Interestingly, the .575 actually shoots a slightly more condensed pattern than the .568 Carlson's Long beard choke I also have. Would love to try some of the Winchester longbeard XR out of each choke but they've been pretty much impossible to find. I just can't bring myself to pay $9-$10 a shot for TSS yet.
