Considering planting switchgrass to hide my entrance and exit to my stand. Is this the best option? What is the best most economical way to plant/sow it?

It'll take 2-3 years to fill in but then it's pretty much there forever.

I'd order from a reputable dealer like round stone. Plant shallow or on top like clover but in the spring and don't expect much in year 1.

I looked at their website, there are many different varieties, do you have a suggestion? I want it to be as tall as possible to conceal my entrance and exit

Can you plant with faster growing annual screening like egyptian wheat?

Call them up. Tell you what you want it for and where you plan to plant it. They are first rate and will take care of you.

Be careful getting the very tall varieties. They tend to crash out, lay over with heavy wind in the winter. Anything 4 to 6 feet tall should be good.
If the site is bare and no competition, seeding in January ontop of ground is good option.
If competition, get it killed and then plant.
Just be mindful of seed size and how much you need. It is not much bigger than clover seed.
Once established, it is awesome.
