Do you guys take the breach plug out and run a patch down the barrel in-between shots with blackhorn 209.

I do not. I believe that is a perk of shooting BH209. I swab it out after 4 or 5 shots.

I've shot 30 rounds through mine using bh209 and harvester crush rib sabots. My accuracy never had any issues or change in accuracy and I never ran a patch between rounds.

I've gotten to where I run a dry patch after each shot, to clear the "dust" out. Seems to load more consistently, for me anyway. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Even if you do run a patch between shots, no need to pull the breech plug. Patch will come out with the jag on your ramrod.

Using triple 7, I do run a spit patch then a dry patch while on the bench, just out of habit i guess. I have done without between first and second shot with zero pi change. Can't recall ever running a patch down the barrel between shots when I have reloaded after shooting a deer.

Iirc Knight used to recommend a "spit" patch after each shot in the field. But that was with the old standby pyrodex and other sub powders. I always did it if I needed a second shot while hunting too.

I always just tried to get reloaded as quick as I could after shooting an animal in case I needed another shot when the smoke cleared. Poi shift on a slightly fouled barrel from clean in my accura is very minimal.
