Survival food - pails

Does anyone have thoughts or recommendations on survival food kits? I've seen some that are a 30 day supply in a pail etc.

I bought a mountain home pail a while back. Seems to be good stuff. We use it through deer season and on hikes. There are several good brands out there.

Haven't bought any but I follow the many threads over on Arfcom. A couple general comments: A lot of carbs and sugar; protein pretty low and require lots of water.

Not a bad deal in and of itself, but it's not a panacea. Walmart carries the Mountain brand, so easy to get, assuming they're in stock.
