When I troll the cumberland, I always have the hope of a keeper walleye or sauger for the table, but since the summer heat kicked in, the bite seems to have slowed. I don't know much about walleye fishing so I just troll a shad rap. This fish caught me by surprise today, and it's in the fridge now. It's 20 inches long and weighed just over 3 pounds. Gonna be eating good......
On a more sad note, I lost my shad rap further down the river. It was the only one I had so I need a new one. but it served me very well since I bought it early this year, and it survived many snags and fished the harpeth river, duck river, dale hollow, cumberland river, and maybe a pond or two. Time to go broke buying a new $7 crankbait. lol
