A friend of mine from work messaged me a while back asking if I wanted some of her father's old cast iron cookware. They just didn't have a use for it anymore and she knew I liked to clean this stuff up. I started with the biggest skillet and as soon as I started knocking the soot off, I got a surprise. Haven't even laid hands on a pre-Griswold before. Cool stuff.

One of the other pieces has a heck of a gate mark on it but no markings. This was just the first thing I saw. Lord knows what else is in that stack she gave me.

1870s - 1907. I haven't dug very deep on the specifics of this one, but Erie markings stopped in 1907 at the latest best I can tell. I'll have to do some more checking.
