Surprise on the crappie jig

I felt the familiar "tick" on the crappie jig yesterday and was surprise when my 11' rod loaded up and wouldn't budge this ole gal. She's the biggest bass I've caught I've caught on 4lb line.

By the way, If I look cold, I was!!!

That's always fun on a crappie rod! I troll cranks a lot in the summer and once in a while you get a big catfish on one that way.

Caught another one this evening close to the same size. Only it was tightlining a minnow.

Yep! And a Wally Marshall spinning reel and 4 lb. test line.

If you tell me you were fishing from a boat, on water, and was trying to catch a crappie......I'm just gonna freak out :D
