suppressor restrictions?

When a suppressor has these restrictions, what does this mean?
Barrel Restrictions:
7.5" – 5.56/223
10.5" – 6 ARC
12.5" - 6 Creedmoor, 6 Dasher, 243 Winchester and other 6mm cartridges

That's giving you the minimum barrel length you can safely use with the stated calibers. For the 7.5" example, you can SAFELY use that suppressor with 5.56/223 as long as the bbl is at least 7.5" or longer. Those restrictions are meant to prevent damage. Shorter barrels means more heat, more unburned powder residure, more muzzle pressure, more force on the suppressor. Generally speaking, the shorter the barrel, the worse it is for the suppressor.
