Somehow I got connected to a new website, https://www.tidewe.com/, that sells some great hunting stuff. My Winner Stealth blind from Academy the windows are deteriorating so I bought the cheeper 270 visual pop up from this site hoping it would be okay. For $109 bucks it came in three days no shipping cost. I've already used it turkey hunting and had it up a few times. It fits my brother and I perfectly. I am crazy glad I got it. It is too cool and great quality. If you're looking I would jump on this site. They have a step up in quality one I probably should have bought for only $20 more but I'm happy with the one I got.

Why not ditch the calls and learn to make the sounds yourself, or ditch the camos and just go in a loin cloth! Traditionalists need to decide if they are true traditionalists or just semi traditional.
I have sat at said tree, I was successful at run & gun when I was younger, 1st hip replacement I walked em up in the rain, 2 nd hip replacement I used a chair in a blowdown, knee replacement said nope not sitting on the ground any more, nope not running & gunning, nope not sitting in a chair for hours while my leg swells so in a blind I go so I can deal with the leg needing to move constantly. In a blind relocation becomes difficult so you better be a good call and a patient sole.

To each there own…

If I'm gonna "blind" hunt I'll take the time to scout where birds frequent then build a hide out of natural materials. This would only be when I have a very young kid just getting started hunting with me as well. I did this for my daughter when she was just starting to hunt and after about a hour sitting she asked if we could go chase the ones gobbling. I was like heck yea let's go!

And being 75 and not young and foolish changes the way you hunt ( and lot of other stuff). Wait and see young ones.

Tidewe are great, I've been buying them since they first came out. wish they were still those prices although not far from it anyways. hunt how you want. seems like some folks have strong opinions on multiple topics on this site but can't handle anyone that does something a different way, or disagrees.

You do you! I hope I'm still chasing them at 75 (52 now). I've hunted from them when I was younger and did most of the time when my son was young because he was fidgeting all the time. Did what it took to get him in the woods although he no longer hunts. Don't use them now as I want to move around but if I live long enough and it's tougher to get around I won't have any problem hunting from one to be comfortable. Never owned any tidewe products but from everything I've seen about them they seem to be a good company. Good luck!

I think Setterman would rather hunt them from his ivory tower.
Hate on me all you want, but if a person is physically able to hunt without the use of a blind then they are selling this sport short by utilizing a blind. It's basically an admission that one can't sit still or use the natural cover to stay hidden from a turkeys vision. What once was a pure form of hunting and a fun chess game has been dumbed down to the point where any idiot can crawl in a tent, stake out a decoy and have success. It's sad.

I make zero apologies for my views on this, the new forms of turkey hunting are a travesty. If it offends you, so be it. Ditch the blind and decoys and learn to turkey hunt.

And any idiot can use a shotgun to kill a turkey. Use a longbow and then complain about everyone else!!

The great thing about hunting is you are not competing against anyone in any category. It is self satisfaction and getting away from humans. What ever you want out of hunting is all yours. We are very blessed to have this opportunity in TN. Enjoy your life. We are blessed.

Post a picture of the blind, after all this complaining I'm interested in seeing what you got. I've crawled 200 yds through woods, shot at 60 yards, shot at 10 yards, and hunted out of blind. No I cannot sit still as much as I once did, the blind helps me alot. hunted yesterday outta of one of those low to ground 6inch stools, I won't be doing that again anytime soon, knee still hurts..
I think it's real sad for the sport all of these great hunters that want to complain how someone else hunts. Please post picture… and be proud of it.

And i think its sad for the sport by the way its been cheapened into a kill anyway at all cost, no skill whatsoever free for all. I will call bull 💩 for what it is as long as ive got enough mind to have an opinion the same as you do.

Get you a turkey lounger and put a claw sling on it. Think mine came with a sling but broke and that's what I did. Sometimes I don't carry it but always wish I had it. Several out there but will be like this.

I've been using this style for a few years, legs don't hold up but one season at a time…

What's really sad for the sport is that so many support and cheer on the very tactics that are destroying the sport for what it was. Turkey hunting was the ultimate chess match. Using the terrain and cover to position on a willing player and then use calls to fool a gobbler into range.

. The onset of blinds and decoys destroyed that aspect. Now for so many it's stake a decoy out where it's visible and hide in a tent eliminating the chance of being picked off by an approaching bird. Dominant birds cannot handle an imposter being in their space. Therefore they charge the plastic turkeys staked out and with a blind a "hunter" has zero worry about being seen.

It's sad, disgusting, and has ruined what was once a really pure form of hunting. Some have no interest in learning and hunting, they just want the post kill photo. It's pathetic

Roger's Sporting Goods has had a couple of the turkey loungers on clearance for $40.
