Well I had planned on going this morning before church and my Fiance said she would like to go with me....since she just recently bought her small game tag for squirrels....why not....
We got to the HONEY HOLE... ....at 15 til 7 this morning and got to the War Zone about 7....the War Zone was named by me which is a particular hollar in this clear-cut that has produced 4 Predators in 2 days of callin....Chances are slim to none I was thinking walking in but as long as she is with me enjoying what I enjoy then I am good kill or no kill....I strive to introduce her to anything and everything I do....which basically boils down to if it has a season I kill it!!!!
Called for 30 minutes at the War Zone and nothing so I told her lets call this other skid yard that I haven't called yet about 400 yards from here....got there and started squalling....nothing...nothing....next sequence...nothing...nothing....I told her that we will just have to keep trying and she replied ya right you kill all the time but not when I am with you I am bad luck... ....thats not what I wanted to hear from someone I just introduced to the sport...well little did I know that was about to change.....
10 minutes later I saw 8 deer running balls to the wall across the clear-cut/skid yard we were sittin in....she replied you think something is behind em....I say I don't know I doubt something is chasin em but might have got something working our way and scared the deer....sure enough at the very top of the hollar 300 yards away Ole' Kitty comes out of the woods fairly quick only to disappear in the tree and still remain unseen????
Great introductory hunt for Bug....I hope she continues to go with me as long as we are able....
