They were a great duo in college till the red team kicked Super Bowl winning Hurts to the curb.Lincoln Riley coached him up to be a pro. 😎
Hurts improved a ton during his back up season at Alabama under a good quarterback coach. He wanted to go to Miami but Coach Saban convinced him to go to Oklahoma saying he would get the best coaching and have better players on the team. Tagovailoa was a better passer at Alabama. Hurts has a strong work ethic and put in the work everywhere he played.

I don't think the defensive line will win the MVP, but they dominated as a group more than I thought possible. Hurts will probably get it.

Saw this on Facebook. 😂

Glad someone sees it for what it was. Hurts would not be the Superbowl winning QB he is today sitting on the bench at ALABAMA with Tua clearly being the better of the two for ALABAMA that season.

It seemed the snap/ball and the eagles defense moved into the Chiefs backfield at the same time over and over. How can you get to the superbowl and then be that bad???

Andy Reid had bigger things on his mind. :)

What was Hurts best season?
Yes, when Jalen Hurts transferred to the University of Oklahoma for the 2019 season, he played in the Big 12, which was often criticized for having weaker defenses compared to the SEC, where he previously played with ALABAMA.

Hurts had an outstanding season at OU, putting up huge numbers in Lincoln Riley's quarterback-friendly system. He threw for 3,851 yards, 32 touchdowns, and rushed for 1,298 yards with 20 more touchdowns. While those stats were impressive, some critics argued that Big 12 defenses weren't as strong as those in the SEC, making it easier for him to rack up numbers.

That said, his performance wasn't just about weaker competition—he showed improvement as a passer and a leader, which helped him get drafted by the Eagles. Do you think he would have had the same success in the SEC that year? The Answer to that would be NO!
