if you are not planting at the moment you are behind, just saying

remember "start clean to stay clean"

I will be through planting tomorrow as will most of the West Tennessee Sunflower growers, its the way we roll

this is one of the better planting springs for our sunflowers

git hur done

240,000 Clearfield seeds in12 acres.Tomorrow going to spray Duel, Spartan & Roundup. When the plants reach about 8-12" tall going to spread 34-0-0 @ 50 lbs per acre

What was the previous crop? The ground looks clean and tilled up good. 12ac with the LS quite a job!

Previous crop was broad cast sunflowers, then they bush hogged the entire field then broad cast wheat and rye.

I sprayed roundup and spend 2 days disking.

LS did a great job. Took me 6 hours to plant on 38" rows

fertilize as soon as you get a true stand of plants, this way most of the plants will recover if you run over them

Hope this 3-5" of rain don't drown them

What blend and rate do you use?

34-0-0 @ 50 lbs per acre

I am getting away from the 34-0-0 this year and going with a blend, I will post the blend as soon as the ag rep gives it to me

the rain and cold weather got me last week, I am going to replant all 5 of my sunflower fields, about 26 acres total

a few of them sprouted, about 80% of the seed rotted during the cold wet soil conditions

its a female dog

With all the recent rain my field is looking bad. Got a lot of plants that are under water or have been washed away

The clients are now talking about having some pans come in to help with the drainage problem
