Passed a few scrub bucks but had my mind made up that I'd stick the first doe that gave me a shot. I was locked in on a herd of deer that had been milling all around me the whole morning at 60 or so. One of them acted like it was going to accidentally mill under me and was at 50 or so. I was up on my feet with my release clipped when I heard the unmistakable cadence of hoofbeats in the leaves. I spun painfully slow and saw her trotting my way. She presented me with an extreme quartering away shot at ten yards and I let her have it. She didn't last 30 seconds before toppling over. Destroyed one lung and the heart. She will top the freezer off nicely.
