Opening weekend of ML things seemed to be getting fired up pretty good. Lots of cruising, couple bucks chasing and younger bucks trying to figure out what its all about. After opening weekend, its like someone just flipped the switch off. Just curious what other hunters around sumner have been seeing.

Exact same thing as you described. Killed big 8 chasing sat morning, no rut activity seen since, I have hunted everyday, not one chase haven't even seen but 1 buck cruising.

Same here Saturday morning bucks were on there feet cruising. Then after the storm saturday evening. Sunday afternoon saw a lot of deer, doe groups and young bucks back to hanging out together. Same bucks I saw pushing does on Saturday morning. Went yesterday in the fog and got lucky, killed a 131" 8 point I'vee been after. Only deer I saw

At the "driving range" in Hendersonville bucks have been seen chasing does everyday this week.Man its killin me have to watch this while i work.

Sounds more like the result of the sudden increase in hunting pressure produced by the opening of MZ season.

Just saw 2 does walking next to the railroad tracks off Saundersville Rd Exit in Hendersonville. I wanted to pull over and see if anything was following but too many cars behind me.

Been in the woods everyday for last 16 days. Havent seen any promising evidence the deer have started running crazy. Still a lot of mature and young does bunched up. Small bucks just pokin around. The better bucks have been right at daylight and dark and on high alert. Still getting the nicer shooter bucks on cam at night and do not look all that swollen. 3 days to work then off another 12, hoping something changes.
