Does anyone use them and if so do you still carry a backpack? I'm considering buying some if I don't have to carry a backpack anymore. If you do use them how does it pack with the stand with all your gear in them? Thanks
I used to do the fanny/belly pack also, but now just use a hand muff; lets me keep everything right there, and allows me to keep my hands warm with lighter gloves.jakeway said:I always put the stuff I need quick access to in a fanny pack that I wear in front as a belly pack. It's a lot easier to get to than the side bags; they seemed to swivel away from me so I needed one hand to hold it and the other to un-zip it. The belly pack is right in front, so I can get at it with one hand and don't have to twist to one side. In cold weather I also use a small backpack which I carry in the climbing stand as Baxter described.
