I have some company coming in end of month and there are a couple of people allergic to urushiol the poison oil on poison Ivy Oak and Sumac plants. I've been able to identify the others in the yard but I have so much sumac around and the varieties are many. Also we are located on a hilltop - no swamps in my yard where a lot of these plants grow. However in the holler in back there is some water flow from a stream and some brooks which are usually dry unless it rains. There are the same type of plants there.
The first is branches from a large tree. There are also a skinny tree trunk with a bunch of the leaves on top - like a palm tree but not as tall. Then there are these.
I'm wondering if any of these guys are poison sumac or stag horn or some other variety. I don't seem to be allergic to the oil but Sumac is more potent than the others so anything is possible. Let me know what you think please.
