We will be hunting in West Tennessee at the end of the year and I unfortunately be staying in a motel. We will be 6 hours away from home and there's a possibility we will kill more than one deer per day and we will be there for 3 days. how do you suggest to preserve the meat before we come home to East Tennessee. If we were at a campsite I would feel mostly comfortable discreetly hanging the meat for the three days we are there but this will not be an option. I thought of a few options first one is field dress the deer, prop the cavity open, and put some ice in it rotate the carcass and leave it in the back of the truck, second trim all the meat off I can in the field and put it in the cooler with ice lastly we could drive more towards middle or East Tennessee and take it to a processor then drive back to the area we are going to hunt. really don't want to do that. the whole purpose of choosing West Tennessee what's to get a higher opportunity to harvest meat and hope to find an option that keeps us in the field longest.
