Suggestions on 1acre and 1/4 acre plot

So I have a 1 acre plot and 1/4 plot i am going to sow down this summer. I know what I am going to plant in the Fall, but I am not sure about the summer. Any layouts that work good for anyone?

Small acreage is tricky in the summer. Depending on your deer population you may have to keep them out long enough to establish the plot before allowing them to begin grazing. Good choices in the summer are lab lab, soybeans, buckwheat, joint vetch, or alyce clover.

I would plant buckwheat because its easy to grow and builds up the soil.

I was reading other post on buckwheat. Sounds good, will it last all summer?

TS-13, no it matures and dies in like 40 some odd days, so alot of folks get two plantings out of it.
